In this post we will be going over how to use relay boards to control the motion of linear actuators. We have 2-channel, 4-channel and 8-channel relay boards available and each one does the same thing, the only difference being how many channels are usable. We will be combining the relay boards with our LC-066 Arduino Uno to show off their control capabilities. Continue reading
We wanted to share a very cool project that we sponsored recently. Nice Box is a company that creates special customized storage boxes, specifically custom sneaker boxes, for customers. The company was started by Cedric Townsend and he utilized our actuators and control systems to help bring some of his creations to life. He's built specially designed boxes for athletes and celebrities such as Rick Ross, 2 Chainz and Andre Drummond.
The box we wanted to share with you was created for Minnesota Vikings WR Charles Johnson. For this box he used two of our PA-04 IP66 Linear Actuators, our PA-28 Control Box, some BRK-02 Mounting Brackets and a PS-11 Power Supply. The actuators are used to open the top half of the box and to extend the lower portion of it as well. Helping bring projects like this to life is one of our goals here at Progressive Automations so if you have any ideas for projects that could utilize our actuators be sure to contact us so we can help you make your idea a reality.
