Description
PA-MC1-POT Specifications

When space is tight, and position accuracy matters, the PA-MC1 12V micro linear actuator with position feedback delivers. At under 4" retracted on the smallest stroke, this micro linear actuator fits where standard units can't.

The built-in potentiometer provides continuous real-time position feedback at 100 ohm/mm — precise, analog, and straightforward to integrate into existing control circuits. IP65-rated and UL recognized, the PA-MC1-POT is built for food and beverages, general automation, and home automation across four force options from 8 to 39 lbs. For a full list of specifications and dimensional drawings, please see our PA-MC1 micro linear actuator Data Sheet.

FAQ
What is the minimum installation space required for the micro linear actuator?

Our shortest stroke length for PA-MC1 is 0.5”; however, the stroke length that was selected based on how much travel distance was required for the application can result in a different minimum installation length requirement. The width and height of our PA-MC1 are always the same at 0.79” by 0.71”.

Does the PA-MC1 support precise positioning for small-scale automation tasks?

The PA-MC1 is not designed for high precision tasks, however, the PA-12-T or PA-12-R offers high precision and positional feedback options better suited for precise positioning applications.

Are the internal limit switches on the PA-MC1 fixed or adjustable?

The internal limit switches of the PA-MC1 are fixed and non-adjustable.

Is the PA-MC1 suitable for horizontal and vertical mounting orientations?

Horizontal and vertical mounting orientations are suitable for the PA-MC1 as long as side loading is not applied to the shaft.

Why is the PA-MC1 a better alternative to the PA-07?

The PA-MC1 actuator is a more advanced and versatile alternative to the PA-07, offering improved performance while maintaining the same trusted reliability. It supports higher dynamic load options—up to 39 lbs compared to the PA-07’s 5 lbs—and operates at significantly faster speeds, reaching up to 1.18"/sec. The PA-MC1 also includes built-in overload protection and allows for side mounting with an optional bracket. These enhancements make it suitable for a wider range of applications, while still preserving the core features of the PA-07.
