WHAT TYPE OF WARRANTY COMES WITH THE PURCHASE OF MY ACTUATOR?
Progressive Automations offers an industry leading 18-month warranty on all of our products. We warrant that the products sold are free from defects in material and workmanship for the 18-month warranty period from the date of receiving.
Warranty is only valid as long as products are utilized and installed correctly. It does not cover any damage sustained from incorrect installation, incorrect usage or use in extremely hazardous environments. WOULD TWO IDENTICAL LINEAR ACTUATORS HAVE DIFFERENT SPEEDS?
Given the components of linear actuators, identical units can have a speed variance of up to 15%. The speed variance is normal for most electric linear actuators. To resolve this issue you should use a DC speed controller that would control the speed of the units using voltage. In some cases the speed will even out once the load is applied to the units. If you believe that the load being applied will be different on each unit (causing them to move at different rates) you can take a look at our feedback actuators.Last Updated - December 27, 2015 10:10PM
DO YOUR LINEAR ACTUATORS INCLUDE INTERNAL LIMIT SWITCHES?
All actuators from Progressive Automations come with a built-in internal limit switches. The limit switch will shut off the power and stop the actuator when it hits the end of the stroke on either end until the polarity is reversed. This helps to prevent the unit from being damaged and reduces power consumption. Units can be custom made without limit switches if required.Last Updated - December 27, 2015 10:09PM
WILL THE ACTUATORS HOLD FORCE ONCE FULLY OR PARTIALLY EXTENDED?
All of our actuators can be stopped at any point in its travel and hold its rated force. For example, a 400 lb actuator will still hold a minimum of 400 lbs when stopped at any point of the stroke, even when the power is disconnected from your application.
Some actuators have a higher holding force than a pushing/pulling force as well. Please review the PDF of your chosen actuator to determine its static (holding) and dynamic (pushing/pulling) force.Last Updated - December 27, 2015 10:09PM
I HAVE AN ACTUATOR WITH 4-PIN CONNECTOR BUT NO CONTROL BOX. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Some of our actuators come connected with our 4-pin connector. These connectors are designed to work with our control boxes. HOW DO I WIRE A PA-31 CONTROL BOX TO MY ACTUATOR AND POWER SOURCE?
Plug in the included wiring harness to the control box.
Connect the yellow and white wires from the harness together and then connect it to the negative wire of your actuator.
Connect the blue and green wire from the harness together and then connect it to the positive wire of your actuator.
Attach your negative power source to the black wire of the wiring harness and your positive power source to the red wire of the wiring harness.

CAN I USE THE TABLE LIFTS OR TV LIFTS INVERTED?
The TV lifts cannot be used inverted, however some table lifts can be inverted but the force will be 50% of the normal rated load. Please contact us to find out which tables lifts can be used inverted.Last Updated - December 27, 2015 10:05PM
HOW CAN I RESET OR RE-SYNC A WIRELESS REMOTE TO WORK WITH A PROGRESSIVE AUTOMATIONS CONTROL BOX?
Please make sure you are using a Progressive Automations remote and control box before proceeding.
Remove power to the control box and open the control box (usually has 4 screws on the bottom of the box).
Inside you will find a small clickable button. Apply power to the control box and hold down the button for 20 seconds and then release.
Press the button a few times until the LED light beside the button goes solid then press the up and down key on the remote.

MY TY-01 DOESN'T GO THAT FAR UP OR DOWN, WHAT DO I DO?
The TY-01 has adjustable limit switches. Hold the up button on the wired remote and the red button on the control box until you get to your desired height. Do the same with the down button on the wired remote and the black button on the control box. This will set a new upper and lower limit for the TV lift.Last Updated - December 27, 2015 10:04PM
