Description
PA-25 Specifications

The PA-25 dual channel control box allows for speed control of linear actuators. Using the RF remote provided, users have the ability to extend, stop, and retract their actuators from up to 30-50 feet away (open air). Using the onboard speed control knobs, each unit connected to the PA-25 can have the speed adjusted from 0-100%. The speed will be affected in both the extend and the retract directions. The control box has both momentary and non-momentary capabilities as well as an in-line fuse to protect against short circuits.

Using the included wire harness, connect the linear actuators to the control box. Apply 12VDC across the power wires and the system is now ready to use. It is important to ensure that the power supply has a sufficient amperage rating to control the linear actuators. The PA-25 is designed to handle a maximum of 15A per channel.

Please see the PA-25 Data Sheet for information about controls, wiring, and troubleshooting.

*Parallel control of linear actuators at 12 VDC. Each unit connected to the PA-25 can have the speed adjusted from 0-100%. The speed will be affected in both the extend and the retract directions.

FAQ
How does individual speed control work on the PA-25 and does it affect both extension and retraction?

Each PA-25 speed knob controls the width of the PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) outputs to trim the motor average voltage, ranging from 0–100% speed settings for individual actuator speed adjustments. This would affect speed in both extension and retraction motion.

What is the difference between the PA-25 and PA-30 control boxes in terms of actuator behavior?

The PA-25 has independent control knobs for actuator speed control vs fixed speed settings in the PA-30 with dual channel parallel control.

Can I control two actuators at different speeds using the PA-25, and how does it affect parallel movement?

Yes—adjust each independent speed control knob as needed. Note that differing speeds mean the actuators won’t stay aligned, so avoid applications that require level motion.

How far can the RF remote operate, and how do I pair it with the PA-25 control box?

The PA-25 has a 30–50 foot range (open air) paired with the RF remote actuator controller. For pairing remotes, please see the Remote Synchronization Process:

  • Open the control box and press the white button. the blue LED with turn on
  • Press any button on the remote and the LED will turn off
  • The remote is now saved to the control box
  • A maximum of two remotes can be saved to one control box
What should I consider when choosing a power supply for the PA-25 to ensure safe and stable operation?

The PA-25 is a 12VDC actuator controller that is compatible with power supplies that output 12V and can handle the total current draw requirements of the actuators being used. We do not recommend using the PA-25 for actuators that draw more than 15A per channel.
